James G. Waldschmidt, MD, MBA

Dr. Waldschmidt, a native of Wisconsin, is a board-certified radiologist with a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology. He brings to Roswell Radiology Associates an extraordinary mix of expertise in general diagnostic radiology, neuroradiology, and interventional procedures, including vertebroplasty as well as significant experience in engineering and information systems.

In 1996, Dr. Waldschmidt earned his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He spent the next four years in his diagnostic radiology residency at Indiana University and completed fellowship training in neuroradiology at Northwestern University in 2001. He has contributed to numerous publications, meeting presentations, and exhibits on subjects, including high-resolution MR imaging of hyaline cartilage. Prior to joining RRA he was partner of the Radiology Associates of the Fox Valley in Neenah, WI.

Dr. Waldschmidt is also a graduate of Marquette University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He then began an engineering career, spending eleven years with IBM in several highly responsible and challenging positions ranging from scientific processor hardware design engineer to CIO and quality manager. During this time, Dr. Waldschmidt also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s prestigious Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Dr. Waldschmidt is a member of the AMA, ACR, RSNA, ARRS, and ASNR.
